Alibaba just presented Mini Apps that run within Alipay (docs.alipay.com/mini/ [Chinese, but translating works OK; more background: techcrunch.com/2019/01/29/alibaba-alipay-mini-programs-230m-users/) at #TheWebConf, and one issue they see is the “app gap”. I wonder if they have a Project Fugu 🐡 and how it’s called.

    FWIW, the Web technologies that deal with the gaps mentioned on the slide would be the Shape Detection API and WebXR.
