@murmosh I looked into this. A potentially existing element fragment will be overwritten, so it still works: github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/link-to-text-fragment/blob/72b9b33e98ee9412ba789eb8e0d19cd997b8d8fb/background_script.js#L363-L364. There may be issues with text that changes late, e.g., a Chrome-provided translation. Extensions can't run on the Chrome Web Store for security reasons.
