@mtomweb Yes, there is quite a lot of standardization prior art that the proposal would build upon (e.g., RFC 3966 datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3966 and E.123 itu.int/rec/dologin_pub.asp?lang=e&id=T-REC-E.123-200102-I!!PDF-E&type=items [PDF]). The joy of Intl.* is that as a developer you don't have to worry about this, just code up what you want.
