@jensimmons Compare the speed of SVGcode (svgco.de/) in Chrome vs. Safari. Still investigating, but I think OffscreenCanvas (caniuse.com/offscreencanvas, bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183720, developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/OffscreenCanvas) would help. Also the new Canvas 2D API (chromestatus.com/feature/6051647656558592—WebKit: 👍).
