@Paul_Kinlan Props for the callout to protocol_handler (developer.chrome.com/articles/url-protocol-handler/). Glad it’s on MDN, too (developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Manifest/protocol_handlers). Personally, I don’t think custom protocols (web+*:) will take off, but love what apps like irccloud.com/ do for irc:: developer.chrome.com/blog/fugu-showcase/?api=protocol-handlers#irccloud.com.
