@stuwrigley I would say so. The single-window interface alone is a good argument, let alone the navigation, resource management, etc.
Bought #TexPad. Looks like a decent Mac single-window #LaTeX editor w/ #BibTeX citation + code auto-complete support bit.ly/vIGRUh
